FIGHT OF THE HEALER | WITH KAYA COCOE (MARK IN SILENCE DEVOTIONAL SERIES) DAY 7 OF 7

FIGHT OF THE HEALER

No one fights harder for you more than the One whose love can also heal...

In Psalm 147:3 we see, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." That God not only is of great power, but his understanding is infinite. (See Psalm 147:5) Rather you believe this or not, maybe you are handling a thread...possibly on the edge so far that if you fell you wouldn't feel it. I understand, it feels difficult just to simply believe...

If we come to the end of ourselves and no one is there then we have what we had all along: self. However, if we cry out, coming to that end then we see that God...waiting, was there and we have nothing within ourselves to hold onto. So, we can give in, give up and lean on God. He is asking for that pain and in return he will give you, his peace. He is asking for that heartbreak and in return he will also bind up your wounds. He is asking for that trauma, rendering vengeance because the battle is his and not ours...he wants to heal that space of fear, torment, and lack of security.

Though, in more ways than one we have to give it up to God, eventually. The question here is when? Does it have to be once we die? or after another intense disappointment?

We can choose to let the wheels fall off so to speak, or the running run dry, but coming to the end of self is when we see that the God of peace, Jehovah-Shalom is there. Some still say they feel nothing, it is because they are empty to be honest. They are turning numb by that emptiness, and they are in need of an encounter with the Holy Spirit. They need Living Water...to run its course between the dry land of their souls.

We cannot produce this Living Water; we are only containers of it and being poured into the full to running over. We can only drink from our own well...being nourished, supported, and strengthened. Those who are thirsty for life need to cry out to God for it...and simply ask.

God is the Healer in the midst of chaotic pain, sore wounds, and broken hearts. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Divine Healer, knowing exactly how, when, and where it hurts without asking questions. When are we going to let the One who knows in?

Coming to the that place, the secret place...a place where no one knows rather it is to the right or left--enter in with a heart of thanksgiving because you have come face to face with the Lover of your Soul. Here, in the quiet, the Lord will minister to you through his heavenly angels, he will consume you with fire of the passions of his Holy Spirit. It just takes us, on our part to let go of all that we've been carrying and drop it.

I know you are tired; you have tried and now you want to give up...okay, just give up to God and not throw it all away. You need history with God, yes...I said it, start now. For the record of this life is nothing if we don't have an account with God. Then, in the midst of trouble you can go back to your record, your history with God and see he was there then and he is here now.

You must let yourself be healed.
