THERE IS WEIGHT IN WORDS
Sometimes there are words that hurt because they were unsaid.
It is easy for us to identify when someone hurts us, we tend to think they meant something other than what they said or did. Though they meant it in some form unless it is during a vulnerable moment where their mind was hindered. (That isn't often...) However, we see that words carry weight. It is mostly heavy if one thinks about it.
The unsaid word(s) hit the most because they don't really have to say anything--we feel it.
That is why writers should be careful of what they are producing. Since our product is our words, we are to be mindful of the access that is given to us by reaching others. Through the medium of words, we see that conditions are met for the revealing of information. It could be that the writer is trying to convey a touchy subject without stepping on toes.
This is rarely done, by the way...because people feel what you are not saying. They know what you are trying to say so to speak. If we are to talk about controversial ideas, there will be division in the opinions. The reason for this is that we often, as writers, dismiss our iron boots and stomp it out.
We share our deepest thoughts in our writing, but we are to be as clever as serpents but innocent as doves...(see Matthew 10:16). For we are among wolves...
We are among wolves as sheep.
The Shepard is with us...warning us of this truth.
One cannot dispose of their opinions, but you have to approach your writing wisely and I mean wisely. It is the way we say it not what we are saying.
Most journalist find themselves before a crowd because they disclosed a matter without thoroughly understanding the aftermath until it happens. Don't be a writer trying to resurface the land...we have those writings already.
State your case. Do so, in tactful gains. Not because of fear...never.
You do so with confidence in God, not arrogance to reveal secrets but to inform. We are to be bold as lions and these references to certain animals is justified by that animal's behavior. See, we have the answer right in front of our noses, use your weapon of words with skill. Know your audience by knowing who you are writing to...not for.
