Soul Writing: For Those Seeking More

How Words Leave Behind Something We Can't Touch.

What do you have? Do you have anything to give to this broken world? I bet you do. But do you want to give it? This comes to mind when all we see is painful gains. Reaping is not only receiving what we have planted but, in some cases, we share in the harvest. We share what we have. Though, what is in your hand?

Some have gifts, some prosperity, and others grand things too heavy for the mind, but then there are some that carry the weight of words. The burden of being a giver of knowledge, inspiration, clarity-- building the house so to speak on the foundation of Christ. Why is it a burden? Our hearts burn for the revelation of God in Christ to be transcribed in stories that ultimately lead you to him. It is all a burden, however, light...the burning in itself may trouble none but it starts a flame after it is set in the heart of others. It starts something only God can finish.

We often think that writing is nothing but words on a page--that words cannot change if a person is unwilling to read them. For whom do we write for anyway?

With the world's cold, who wants to read about hope when they see nothing but shame, perversion, lawlessness, crushing, and more crushing? If hope is here, why does it hide? We think that the offering of hope is entering into a blurry void and for some it does. But it isn't your fault. It is that you write words of hope by the God-given inspiration because you may reach one.

Just one?

Well, that doesn't seem like an impact at all. It sounds like mocking my hard work...seriously.

Wait.

One is a world, one is a lifetime, and one is a person that could not be reached until you. What is a story unless it is read and understood? Where is the good in reaching one person? That is the goal. Do not lose sight of it. "For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost." (Luke 19:10) If you are no greater than your Master, consider this greater works will you do. (See John 14:12) You are formed in Christ for greater works and the good work which God ordained for you to do. (See Ephesians 2:10)

Don't despise small beginnings for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. (Zechariah 4:10)

You are right where you need to be...you are right where you are called and destined.

Look again.
See, you have just begun.
So, let God finish the measure.

That "one"...is caused to multiply.
